Hyperliquid New Listings: Find New Coins & Delistings (2026)
Find new Hyperliquid listings from the public API: newest perps by asset index, delistings, HIP-3 and spot deploy auctions, a real dated snapshot and a Python script.
The short version: every perpetual on Hyperliquid's main DEX has an asset index, and new markets are added at the end of the list. Sort the public
metauniverse by index, skip the entries flaggedisDelisted, and you have the newest listings in order. In our snapshot of 27 October 2026 (about 08:15 UTC) the API listed 235 main-DEX perps ever, 179 live and 56 delisted. The newest, XTEN (asset #234), had its first hourly candle at 06:00 UTC that same morning, with 3x max leverage and isolated margin only. New listings almost always start at 3x or 5x, so plan your size before you trade them.
"What's new on Hyperliquid?" is one of the most common questions traders ask, and the answer usually comes from a tweet or a Telegram channel hours later. You don't need either. Hyperliquid publishes its full market list, leverage limits and delisting flags through a free, public info API that needs no account and no API key. This guide shows where listings come from (validator listings, HIP-1 spot tokens and HIP-3 builder-deployed perps), how to detect a new market yourself, what the data looked like on a real, dated snapshot, the traps (candle history that predates a listing, delisted names that stay in the list) and a short Python script you can run today.
Where new markets on Hyperliquid come from
There are three different listing paths, and each shows up in a different place in the API.
- Main-DEX perpetuals. The core perps (BTC, ETH, HYPE, SOL and the long tail) live in the default
metaresponse. New ones are appended with the next free asset index. This is where most "new listing" trades happen. - HIP-1 spot tokens. Anyone can deploy a spot token by winning a ticker gas auction paid in HYPE. Tokens appear in
spotMeta, and trading pairs get an index such as@1163. In our snapshot there were 510 spot tokens and 347 spot pairs; the five newest pairs (@1159 to @1163) were EQMETA, EQMSFT, EQAMZN, EQMU and EQSPCX, all against USDC. - HIP-3 builder-deployed perps. Builders can run their own perp DEXs on Hyperliquid (stocks, indices, commodities and more). Each one is a separate "dex" returned by
perpDexs, and you read its markets withmetaplus adexparameter. The API returned 10 HIP-3 dexs; the ones with live markets in our snapshot were xyz (119), para (32), io (11) and mkts (5). See our TradFi perps guide for how these work.
How to detect a new listing from the public API
All requests are a POST to https://api.hyperliquid.xyz/info with a JSON body. No key, no wallet.
- Get the universe.
{"type": "metaAndAssetCtxs"}returns two arrays: the market list (name,szDecimals, maxLeverage, marginTableIdand flags such asonlyIsolatedorisDelisted) and live context for each market in the same order (mark price, open interest, 24h volume, funding). - Use the position as the asset index. The first market is index 0 (BTC). The last entries are the most recent additions. Store the list and compare it with the previous run: any new name at the end is a new listing.
- Drop delisted markets. Delisted perps are not removed; they stay in the list with
"isDelisted": true. That keeps every asset index stable, but it means a naive count overstates what you can trade. - Date it with candles, carefully.
candleSnapshotwith a1hor1dinterval gives you the first candle, which for a genuinely new market is close to the listing time. As the next section shows, this does not work for every market. - Read the risk settings.
maxLeverage, marginTableIdand the margin flags tell you how much leverage you get and whether cross margin is allowed. Our margin tiers guide explains the tables.
Real snapshot: the newest Hyperliquid perps on 27 October 2026
This is the output of the script below, run on 27 October 2026 at about 08:15 UTC. Volume is the rolling 24-hour notional; open interest (OI) is contracts × mark price. Figures move every minute, so treat them as an example, not a live feed.

|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| #234 | XTEN | 2026-10-27 | 3x (isolated only) | $0.28M | $0.10M |

| #226 | DASH | older than the window | 5x | $1.18M | $3.94M |
| #225 | AXS | older than the window | 5x | $0.09M | $0.43M |
| #224 | XMR | older than the window | 5x | $48.00M | $109.11M |
| #223 | LIT | 2025-12-22 | 5x | $12.31M | $106.78M |
What the snapshot tells you:
- The pace is slow and selective. Only 8 main-DEX perps had a first daily candle in 2026 (SKR in January through XTEN today), roughly one every five or six weeks. By comparison, HIP-3 dexs already had 167 live markets, so most of the new perp choice now sits outside the main list.
- New listings start with low leverage. All twelve of the newest live perps were capped at 3x or 5x. XTEN was the only live main-DEX perp marked
onlyIsolated(margin modestrictIsolated), so you cannot back it with cross margin. - Size and liquidity vary a lot. XMR traded $48M in 24 hours with over $109M of OI, while AXS traded under $0.1M. A new listing is not automatically a liquid one; check the order book before using size (our slippage guide shows how).
- Delistings are common. 56 of 235 main-DEX perps (24%) were delisted. The ten most recent in the list were ZEREBRO, VINE, JELLY, TST, IP, OM, PROMPT, DOOD, LAUNCHCOIN and YZY.
The candle trap: why the first candle is not always the listing date
XMR, AXS and DASH sit at asset indexes 224 to 226, after LIT (first daily candle 22 December 2025) and before SKR (22 January 2026). Their position says they were added in that window. Yet their candle history goes back years: with weekly candles, the API returns XMR and DASH data from January 2020, and even BTC has weekly candles from August 2019, long before Hyperliquid's mainnet existed. Older history is backfilled.
The practical rule: use the asset index for order and the first candle only for markets you have just seen appear. If you want reliable listing dates, store the universe yourself on a schedule and record when each name first shows up. The script flags any market whose history starts before its query window as "older (backfilled?)" instead of printing a false date.
HIP-3 and spot deploy auctions: seeing listings before they happen
New HIP-3 perp DEXs and new HIP-1 spot tickers are not granted by a team; deployers bid in a Dutch auction, where the gas price in HYPE starts high and falls over time until someone pays it. The API shows both auctions:
{"type": "perpDeployAuctionStatus"}for HIP-3 perp DEX deployment. On 27 October 2026 it showed an auction that started at 05:00 UTC, lasting 31 hours, with a start gas of about 1,491 HYPE and a current gas of about 1,387 HYPE.{"type": "spotDeployState", "user": "0x…"}for spot tokens. It includes agasAuctionblock (on our snapshot: also 31 hours, start and current gas 500 HYPE) and the deploy state of a given address.
An auction won does not mean a liquid market tomorrow. Deployers still have to configure and launch, and many spot tokens never get meaningful volume. Treat the auction as an early signal, not a trade idea.
Python script: list the newest perps, delistings and the deploy auction
Requires Python 3 and requests. It reads only public data and works without an account. It makes about 15 requests, well inside the info API rate limits.

To turn it into a listing alert, save the list of names to a file, run the script every few minutes and print anything that is new. For a no-code option, Hyperfolio's push alerts and Markets page cover prices and moves across Hyperliquid markets.
Before you trade a new listing: a checklist
- Leverage and margin mode. 3x isolated means a smaller position for the same margin and no help from the rest of your account. Run the numbers in a position size calculator first.
- Order size rules. New coins often have
szDecimalsof 0 (whole units only, as with XTEN) and tiny tick sizes. See the tick size and lot size guide. - Funding. Hot new listings can carry extreme funding in the first hours. Check it before holding overnight (funding guide).
- Liquidity and OI. Compare volume with open interest (open interest guide). Thin books mean wide slippage on stops and liquidations.
- Delisting risk. A quarter of all main-DEX perps have been delisted. Don't plan a long hold on a market that may not stay.
Track new-listing trades without losing the plot
New listings are where PnL gets messy: small isolated positions in several coins, fast funding swings and partial closes. Hyperfolio is a free, read-only tracker for Hyperliquid. Paste your address (or any public wallet) to see open perps, unrealized and realized PnL, funding and recent fills in one place, as a PWA on desktop or mobile. It never asks for a private key or a signature. Want to see who is already trading a fresh listing? The Smart Money view and whale tracking help.
FAQ
How do I see new listings on Hyperliquid?
Call the public info API with metaAndAssetCtxs, ignore markets with isDelisted, and look at the highest asset indexes. They are the most recent additions. The script above does this for you.
What was the newest Hyperliquid perp on 27 October 2026?
XTEN, asset index 234, with its first hourly candle at 06:00 UTC that day, 3x max leverage and isolated margin only. Check the API for anything newer.
How many perps does Hyperliquid have?
In our 27 October 2026 snapshot, the main DEX had 179 live perps out of 235 ever listed. HIP-3 dexs added 167 more live markets (xyz 119, para 32, io 11, mkts 5). The numbers change as markets are added and removed.
What leverage do new listings get?
Usually low. Every one of the twelve newest live main-DEX perps in our snapshot was capped at 3x or 5x.
Do delisted coins disappear from the API?
No. They stay in the universe with isDelisted: true so that asset indexes never shift. Filter them out before counting or trading.
Can I use the first candle as the listing date?
Only for markets you have just seen appear. Some markets have backfilled history that starts years before Hyperliquid existed, so the first candle can be misleading.
What is a Hyperliquid deploy auction?
A Dutch auction in HYPE for the right to deploy a HIP-3 perp DEX or a HIP-1 spot token. You can read the current status with perpDeployAuctionStatus and spotDeployState.
